Stately with a minimum of architectural frill such is the aptly named Queen's Court, a fixture in the lower Queen Anne landscape since 1930.
Then (and some would say now) Seattle was a boomtown with tourists streaming in to see the Alaska-Yukon Pacific Exposition and deciding to stay. The question was: Where would those exuberant newcomers live?
Happily, at Queen's Court they discovered arched doorways, divided-pane palladium windows, and a perfect-for-gathering lobby (complete with decorative fireplace). Inside each home, the to-the-period casework and floors were handcrafted and a bank of windows let in the precious light.
Today, fresh color, new appliances, systems upgrades, and a to-share media room make each home environment as welcoming as originally intended.
